Since 1969, Louvolite has been a leading voice in the window shading industry. What began as a small vertical blind workshop above a butcher's shop in Marple, Stockport, quickly grew into a company defined by innovation, quality, and an enduring commitment to improving interiors around the world. Today, Louvolite manages every stage of production - from raw materials and tooling design to finished components and fabrics.
1970
First Registered
Louvolite was officially registered and moved to Compstall Mill, Stockport. Here, the company began producing vertical louvre blinds, including the iconic Slimline® Vertical system. From these early days, Louvolite set a standard for precision, quality, and design that would be the foundation of its reputation.
1973
International Markets
With growing demand, Louvolite expanded into Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and the Middle East. These first steps into international markets marked the beginning of a global journey, bringing British engineering and design to homes and workplaces worldwide.
